Hait is learning the hard way that shoody work of construction doesn't work and it is deadly as a bomd tikling under their heads. I seen photo of a fallen wall in that area
made of hollow blocks without a reinforcing bar. how could they allowed that kind of construction in their country is beyond belief, that even a kid knows that it's a disaster waiting to happen. It's elementary . no need to go for school for this. rebar is a must for a concrete.

Hayti, c'est une "place".
A nation will build upon itself, will defend itself, will internally help itself without seeking the hand of another.
Hayti, there-in traces an ugly thread of activity stemming from the roots of the second epoque when Africa and Africans succeeded as the labouring replacements for the decimated aborigine population.
We read and hear the musings of the nation's primary leaders, and must reflect that for each leader there
must have existed five or fifty thousand supporters, all of them with the hopes and aspirations reflected today by Mr. Obama.
But is that was true, why is Haiti, the Haiti of today?
In my view, the comings of 2009 are hardly different than in Hayti, in 1804. Of course the circumstances are slightly different, but the hunger for "change" is there.
What is remarkable is that Mr. Obama is described as a "first", owing only to his colour, but not his culture, intelligence and principle.
Sadly and true, so many pioneers of "colour" were earlier set aside.
Years ago I looked at Mr. "O" and thought if he could only become what he has become! A leader of profound talent and intelligence sensitive to the entirety of humans , and their need to survive on this planet.
Now the world acclaims him in the prism of political light as it scans across the spectrum and combines the waves into an abstract of nothing specific but everything that might generally be of today's and tomorrow's concern. Perhaps unfairly, Mr. "O" has been annointed as a "savior".
Where is Hayti's "Obama". Kote li ye?
Haitians all, we criticize, we conspire, we profit upon the underlings and share nothing back to the system that has enslaved the poor and the not -so- poor in a model of life that has led to allowing a negative category of "success" almost exclusively claimed by the criminal element of Haiti today.
Is this the fruit of "democracy"? Are Haitians forever to live in a state that is endowed with manipulation, subterfuge, and greed and now rampant crime at all levels to the point that no one will trust his or her neighbor with the lives of their children? Where is community?
Where is Hayti's "Obama"? When will he or she come to speak of the truth to all and manifest the ambitions of all into one force that may once and forever alter the destiny of this "place".
When we complain of our lot, when we ask that the other might become better, we must then do this in full view of a mirror just to be certain that the subject is not standing before you.
Hayti will never change until Haitians come together to evoke that "change".
Change will take generations.
Or perhaps only one presidential term? It is all up to everyone.
It is up to all to understand that Haytians suffer only because of themselves.
Leadership and cohesiveness has been lacking for decades.
And should an "Obama" one day stand before Haitians with the answers and truths for the national ambition at hand, would we all be dedicated enough to the future of our children and their children to evoke the "change" that the leader would then designate?
Haiti, manipulated, victimized, plundered, profited upon without scrupples, without vision and care. And by who?
No one circumstance could have come to pass without a Haitian being in agreement for the better or worse of it all.
"Obama" is "there", and "here", and in Haiti; he is within all of us. That is HIS SECRET.
In the U.S and abroad he has motivated our spirits and our minds to the level of unbridled hope and ambition for the better common good of all. He has taken a divided and fractured U.S. of A. and made it more than eighty percent whole!
Did he do it alone. No. Never. But he lead and held his course.
Let this man Obama, and the woman Michelle who has chosen him, be of some personal example of sacrifice and steadfast ambition of good to all of us.
No one man or woman can change Hayti. Change only comes from the bottom, not from the top.
Never trust those who will paint others of your nation as your enemy.
Never entrust a leader with your hate, your misdirected envy.
Only give to your leader the principals of good, trust, promise of well being, and sincerity of manner and dedicated hard work.
Obama asked and demanded this all as his creed.
Hayti, and Haitians all do have their Obama.
It remains only an instance of time for that discovery to happen.
Obama is you!
